FUN FOR FALL Y’ALL!! SEVERAL HAVE ASKED FOR IT, SO HERE IT IS!!
2026 Joint Reunion!!
The Knights and Ladies of Northern High School invite all in the classes of 1973, 1974, and 1975 for a tri-class reunion on the evening of October 10, 2026, at the Bahama Ruritan Club (8202 Stagville Road, Bahama, NC 27503) for a fun, casual gathering of former classmates. Doors will open at 6:00 pm, with dinner beginning at 6:30.
Join us for a fun-filled evening of eating, dancing, and reuniting with some of the best from NHS. Dinner will be catered by our own Bill Whittington of Blue Note Grill fame. There will be a DJ providing music of our era - yes, we’ll have a chance to observe how we can still show off our moves from yesteryear! This facility allows us to BYOB, and there is a huge ice machine available for use.
The event is $40.00/person, which covers the costs of the rental, catering, and DJ. To keep costs down for attendees, we are only accepting checks made out to Barbara Beard, with “NHS Tri-Class Reunion” on the memo line. Mailing address is 216 Galverston Drive, Durham, NC 27712. This makes it easier to refund monies if the event is cancelled for any reason. All checks must be received no later than September 5. For any questions, please contact Barbara at:

50th Reunion - That's a Wrap!
For pictures, click on REUNION PHOTOS in the menu to the left.
The Northern High School Class of 1974 50-year reunion weekend celebration started with a Saturday evening dinner and dance at Croasdaile Country Club. It was a hoot seeing folks we hadn’t seen in 50 years, and good to reconnect with friends from an important phase of life. Our assistant principal Clarence Hill and his wife Pat, and teachers Sandy Wainio and Nancy Holland attended our events!
We had Sunday Brunch at the new NHS and toured the facility. In addition to the usual academic courses, they have terrific programs that produce grads with certifications in culinary arts, automotive, law enforcement, firefighting and animal science, just to name a few. Our tour was by Chef John, who is currently serving as President of the American Culinary Federation. He and the other two chefs, along with culinary students, prepared our brunch. It was yummy! For those of us who were band members, it was so cool to see the new music room. And of course, the rendition of our NHS alma mater by Maestro Jan Leathers Perry was very special. Touring the kitchen was fascinating. Proud of NHS - then and now! Go Blue & Gold! Go Knights & Ladies!
