Harvey "Kirk" Bagwell

Harvey “Kirk” Bagwell, 68, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at his home in Durham. He was born in Durham to the late John Riles Bagwell, Jr. and Ruby Mae Bagwell.

Kirk spent much of his career building custom homes with his father and brother at Bagwell Builders, a company owned by his father. He worked in maintenance for Wake County Schools until he retired in 2017.

Kirk is survived by his wife, Cindy Bagwell; daughters, Amber Cagle, and Cassie Clark; son, Kirk Bagwell, II; grandchildren, Warren, Walter, Waylon, Carter, and Ruby; and brother, John Riles Bagwell III.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 26th at Clements Funeral Chapel in Durham. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
